Zhong Li, a graduate of Harbin Agricultural University and former employee of a foreign enterprise, resolutely gave up her comfortable urban life to return to her hometown and devote herself to ecological agriculture. Through the brand “Chunfu Rice,” she practices the responsibility of food safety, becoming a unique benchmark on the road to rural revitalization.

The turning point came when her father nearly suffered pesticide poisoning while weeding. The harsh reality that “herbicides harm the soil and people” confronted her with the problems chemical agriculture poses to land and health. Despite family doubts, she returned home to start a business, determined to grow “安心米” (safe rice) without chemical herbicides, shouldering the social responsibility of food safety from the source.

Her entrepreneurial journey was full of hardships. She said goodbye to high heels and office buildings, stepping barefoot into the muddy fields. Using the most “clumsy” manual weeding methods, she gradually expanded her 20-acre experimental field to a thousand acres. “Caring for every rice ear like raising a child,” she nurtures the purity of the rice with a mother’s delicate care.

This year, the introduction of ecological mulch film planting technology completely solved the challenges of temperature and moisture retention and weed suppression, bidding farewell to herbicides in field management. This breakthrough not only achieves sustainable land development but also protects more farmers from pesticide risks. Today, “Chunfu Rice” has evolved from a personal commitment to a replicable ecological agriculture model, leading villagers toward a new path that balances environmental protection and increased income.

From the city to the fields, Zhong Li uses wisdom and perseverance to cultivate safety and hope on the black soil, embodying the responsibility and dedication of modern farmers.
