At the beginning of 2020, she and her husband set off on a journey to Shenzhen, just to be closer to their two sons working hard in the big city. What was supposed to be a time for family reunion turned out differently. Every day, she carefully prepared meals, hoping they would come home on time to eat. But most of the time, the response was, “Mom, I have a business dinner tonight, won’t be coming back.”
Memories of her children gathered around her in childhood, happily sharing meals as a family, would sometimes flash through her mind. Now, with the children caught up in their busy lives, that simple warmth was lost. She felt a deep sense of loss and worry, wondering, “Why are the kids working so hard?”
Encouraged by her children, she decided to do something meaningful. That’s how “Grandma’s Food Words” was born. Through this brand, she hopes to remind more people—just like her sons hustling in the city—of the image of their mother cooking and the taste of home.
We understand everyone is chasing their dreams, but we want you to know that no matter how far you go, home is always there—with warm lights, hot meals, and your parents’ love. We sincerely wish every hardworking child away from home can often return for a meal and find a little warmth in the big city.
